Dalam pupuh ini BATARA GURU meminta pada BATARA WISNU untuk menjabarkan pengertian Ilmu Gaib, terutama tentang tanda-tanda gaib sehingga manusia bisa bermartabat jasmani dan rohaninya

 

In this pupuh, BATARA GURU asks BATARA VISNU to explain the meaning of the Mystical knowledge, especially about supernatural signs so that humans can have physical and spiritual dignity

Setelah 4 perkara menjadi cahaya semuanya dan bersatu didalam pagar Kawulo-Gusti; maka sudah tidak lagi meninggalkan mayat dikemudian hari dimana tulang, daging, kulit dan darah semua sudah menjadi satu berada didalam ‘pagar tempat asalnya’ hanya kesucian yang akan tinggal (Moksa)

 

Inti daripada penyatuan itu adalah semuanya akan menitis menjadi bibitnya manusia; bolak-balik akan menjadi manusia lagi sesungguhnya asalnya tak berujud; itulah menyatunya Kawulo-Gusti

 

After all, 4 matters become light and unite in the Human-God fence; then it will no longer leave corpses in the future when bones, flesh, skin and blood have all become one inside the 'fence of where they came from', only holiness will remain (Moksa)

 

The essence of the unification is everything will incarnate become human seeds; back and forth will become human again; in fact, the origin is formless; it is the merging of man-God

The Ancestor of all the kings/ and the chosen one who brings the light of life/ held by Bathara Vishnu/ the male warrior on earth/ the gem of the universe/ the foremost Bathara Vishnu//

Meskipun enak hidup di surga/ bila ditinggal Wishnu, menjadi sepi dan senyap/ tidak ada prajuritnya/ hanya Wishnu lah prajurit yang hebat/oleh karena kamu sudah cukup tua/ mohonlah pengetahuannya//

Even though it's good to live in heaven/ when Vishnu leaves, it becomes lonely and quiet/ there is no soldiers/ only Vishnu is the great warrior/ because you are old enough/ ask for his knowledge//

Don't be shy and doubt my son/ learn about the true instructions/ the main and true essence/ Vishnu said it already happened/ disciple of the main priest/ by the name of Aji Saka//[7]

Beliau adalah pendeta yang hebat/ yang berkelana di tanah yang dijanjikan[10]/ yang menjadi penjelmaan dari ‘Hyang Nur Cahaya’/ makanya jangan sampai terlupa/ pelajarilah pengetahuannya/ dari Wishnu yang telah mendapatkan kasih// [11]

He is a great priest/ who travels to the promised land[12]/ who is the incarnation of 'Hyang Nur Cahaya'/ so don't forget / learn his knowledge/ from Vishnu who has received love//[13]

Hyang Endra gelisah hatinya/ dengan kata-kata yang sopan berujar/ saya hanya mengikuti/ belajar sebagai murid/ kurang diterima tidak apa-apa/ begitu adanya Dewa yang bijak//

Hyang Endra was restless in his heart/ with polite words, he said/ I just followed/ and studied as a student/ it's okay to be unaccepted/ it is as it is my wise Deva//

Walaupun terbalik paduka/ tetapi harus dilakukan/ kita harus memilih yang sesungguhnya/ namun jika diijinkan/ maka saya akan memberitahukan/ agar bertemu ditempat yang Mulia//

Even though it's upside down, Your Majesty/ but it must be done/ we must choose the truth/ but if it is allowed/ then I will notify/ to meet at His Majesty's (God) place//

'Bathara Endra' bowed his head/ 'Sang Hyang Guru' immediately called everyone who is present/ Bathara Vishnu was present/ sat in front of a blooming flower/ side-by-side to Bathara Endra/ Hyang Girinata said slowly//

-heh- anakku Wishnu/ kamu diajarkan pengetahuan/ dan kakakmu Endra/ tentang golongan pengetahuan Jawa/ yang menjadi masalahnya kakakmu juga/ jelaskanlah dengan terbuka dan singkat//

-heh- my son Wishnu/ you were taught the knowledge/ and also your brother Endra/ about the Javanese knowledge/ which become the problem of your brother too/ please explain it openly and briefly//

Sebanyak pengetahuan yang telah selesai dimengerti/ pengetahuan yang bersanding dengan kegaiban/ untuk ber-martabat didalam dan diluar/ dari asal muasal manusia sampai mati/ sumber kehidupan manusia/ yang abadi dari awal sampai akhir//

As much as knowledge that has been completely understood/ a knowledge that is coupled with spiritualism/ to teach nobility inside and outside/ from the birth of humans until its death/ the source of human life/ eternal from beginning to end//

Yang dikenal sebagai nyawa itu/ yang berkedudukan di cupu-manik/ tujuannya bila esok bersatu/ lakukanlah dengan benar/ Bathara Wishnu menyembah/ kepada semua yang hadir//

What is known as the spirit/ which is located in the gems/ the goal if tomorrow they will be united/ you can do it in the right way/ Bathara Vishnu bow/ to all present//

5 hal yang terdahulu/ kalau berdasarkan temuan hamba/ tidak berbeda dengan 5 cahaya/ yang cahayanya sangat luas/ nafasnya Surya yang sebenarnya/ wujudnya terlihat jelas//

The previous 5 things/ based on my findings/ no different from the 5 lights/ whose light is very broad/ the true breath of the sun/ the form is clearly visible//

déné ta pangwasanipun/ waskitha sabarang kardi/ sagêd wuninga ing pajar/ suwung[19] aranira singgih/ yèn dalu padhangé sirna/ sumusup pêpêtêng sami//

Semua dalam pengawasannya/ waskita dalam segala hal/ dapat melihat dengan jelas/ yang dimaksud dengan -suwung-[20]/ kalau malam cahaya nya hilang/ menyusup bersama gelap//

Everything is under his supervision/ superior in everything/ he can see clearly/ what is meant by -suwung[21]-/ when the light is going away at night/ and dark creeps in//

mila ngagêsang puniku/ yèn wus mêlèk pasthi guling/ déné bumi ambêkira/ dumunungé anèng daging/ pangwasané datan siwah/ murah dunya sih ing akhir//

Maka hidup itu adalah/ kalau sudah bangun pasti tidur/ itulah nafasnya bumi/ yang berada didalam daging/ keadaaannya tidak berubah/ kemudahan dunia dari awal sampai akhir// 

Then the meaning of life is/ when you wake up you must asleep/ that is the breath of the earth/ which is in our flesh/ this condition does not change/ ease of the world from beginning to end//

anganakkên wulu rambut/ utawi sarining wiji/ sadaya sami ngalêmpak/ déné ta ambêking angin/ dumunung wontên ing napas/ panguwasanipun sami//

Seperti menumbuhkan bulu rambut/ atau serbuk sarinya buah/ semua sama menyatu/ itulah nafasnya angin/ dan yang berada didalam nafas/ penguasaannya adalah sama//

It's like growing hairs/ or the pollen of a fruit/ everything is the same/ that's the breath of the wind/ and what's in the breath/ the mastery is the same//

lan angin satuhunipun/ pan dadi sarining urip/ lawan têtalining gêsang/ dédé kang amaha suci/ déné ambêking samodra/ dumunung ing rahsa yêkti//

Sedang angin sebenarnya adalah/ yang menjadi sarinya hidup/ yang menjadi pengikat kehidupan manusia/ berbeda dengan Hyang Maha Suci (nyawa = yang membuat hidup kita)/ dia bernafas seperti Samudra/ bertempat didalam darah dan rasa//

While the wind is actually/ the essence of life/ which binds human life/ different from Hyang Maha Suci (the Most Holy = our Spirit)/ he breathes like the ocean/ resides in blood and senses//

kuwasa wèh rahsa agung/ miraos pêdhês lan asin/ wignya ngiyêmkên sarira/ rah warata angêbêki/ ngagêsang sajatinira/ uripé kungkum nèng warih//

Berkuasa untuk memberi rasa yang agung/ merasakan pedas dan asin/ mengerti melembutkan selera/ dan darah dengan rata memenuhi/ sesungguhnya ini yang menjadikah kehidupan manusia/ hidupnya terendam didalam air//

He has power to give a great senses/ to taste spicy and salty/ to understand how to soften the taste/ and spread-out blood evenly/ actually this is what makes human alive/ living and submerged in water//

gantya langit ambêkipun/ dumunung ing jasat yêkti/ kaananing badan wadhag/ raga sajabaning kulit/ déné kanyataanira/ kandhanging jagad pribadi//

berganti dengan nafasnya langit/ yang berada didalam jasad/ demikianlah keadaan sifat dari badan (jasad)/ tubuh yang dibalut kulit/ itulah kenyataannya/ yang melindungi jagad pribadi//

change with the breath of the sky/ which is in our body/ such is the state of the nature of our physics (body)/ than the body covered with skin/ that is the reality/ that to protects a person (& personality) in this universe//

luguning langit puniku/ kakandhang ing jagad jawi/ déné kang catur purwanda/ punika sayêkti sami/ kalawan kang catur cahya/ makatên dunungé nênggih//

Lihatlah kesederhanaan langit itu/ yang dikurung diluar jagad/ ini yang disebut 4 hal yang awal/ sebenarnya ini sama saja/ dengan ke 4 cahaya/ begitulah awalnya//

Look at the simplicity of the sky/ that is confined to the outside of the universe/ these so-called 4 first things/ actually these are the same/ with the 4 lights/ that's how it started//

têtêp nyata têgêsipun/ nèng cahya dunungirèki/ maligéning gêsang kita/ wignya babarakên sami/ byar katon sami sakala/ titis têgêsé sayêkti//

Tegasnya, tetap lah terlihat nyata/ didalam cahaya adanya/ meliputi seluruh kehidupan kemanusiaan kita/ uraiannya akan tetap sama/ dan biar terlihat sama semuanya/ atau tepat tegasnya//

Strictly speaking, it still looks real/ in the light of existence/ and covers all of our human life/ the description will remain the same/ and so that everything looks the same/ or accurate, strictly speaking//

Then after calming his lust/ and releasing his soul from his body/ heading into that situation/ but becoming more cautious/ in stepping and directing/ than he has arrived at the 2nd result//

When you understand/ steady, firm, committed and brave/ eliminating the sensual pleasures/ and only focus on what the soul desires/ that is enough/ in short, you already understand Jawa//

 

mênggah gatining kang ngèlmu/ punika sampun nyêkapi/ déné kang rungsit punika/ êmpan papaning pambudi/ patrap lan trap pancèn gawat/ arang kang sagêd kawijil//

Apapun kepentingannya mencari ilmu/ semua sudah mencukupi/ sebenarnya yang membuat rumit itu/ perlengkapan pelaksanaan untuk berbudi pekerti/ sikap dan aturan memang berbahaya/ jarang yang dapat mewujudkannya//

Whatever the interest is in seeking this knowledge/ everything is sufficient/ what is actually makes it complicated/ is the implementation media for a good character building/ attitudes and rules are dangerous/ it is rarely can make it happen//
